Driven by the constraints of their long-distance travel to NY, FAR will carry only hand luggage. But this hand luggage will contain their entire body of work. Within four globes, reverse-engineered ‘shadow objects’, are miniature worlds that act as portfolio. Once staged with light the rotating globes reveal FAR's work as a sequence of large-scale shadows cast on the walls of the space.
The exhibition will be open to the public beginning on the evening of June 22 and will be on view through August 6 at the Arnold and Sheila Aronson Galleries, Sheila C. Johnson Design Center, Parsons The New School for Design, 66 Fifth Avenue. The gallery is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and late Thursday evenings until 8:00 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibition will also be open on the evenings of the lectures.
