INTERREG PROJECT “SCIENCE COMMUNICATION”, European Union-funded research study (2005-2006)
Knowledge has become a product and a valuable commodity which, like many other goods, is traded on the global market place. As German universities have entered this market, a need to communicate scientific knowledge to the general public has also risen accordingly. As part of a multi-disciplinary project, our “Sourcebook Wissenschaftskommunikation” first consists of an analysis of a series of existing institutional as well as new architectural strategies for science communication to the public. Secondly it develops several concrete communicational scenarios for academic institutions in the Euregio, taking advantage of the existing institutional as well as spatial infrastructure.
