“Shelters are emergency places that people turn to in times of natural disaster. They are places that offer the most essential relief, places that people resort to when in search of protection. Inside the shelter, the emergency landscape unfolds, with piles of mattresses and blankets, security cones and barriers, flashlights and bottles of water.” The exhibition was curated by Sebastián Irarrázaval and Hugo Mondragón. The exhibition will be open between February 15th and April 23rd.

Wall House plans are now available at www.hometta.com??In 2008 we began exploring new territory in the delivery of architecture by initiating www.mywallhouse.net. By offering the Wall House to clients around the world the house is turned from a one-off into a customizable design that could be adjusted to local conditions and varying personal desires.
The cultural magzine “Kultur.21” broadcast by Deutsche Welle internationally presents FAR: “A house like a tent: The Wall House situated in a suburb of Santiago de Chile is the first realized project by the German architects Marc Frohn and Mario Rojas Toledo. The building completed in 2007 immediately caused a furor. The house with its translucent membrane looks like a Bedouin tent.”
FAR is the winner of the DETAIL prize in the category ArchitekturXport. The project awarded is the Wall House.
The Wall House is exhibited at the German Architecture Museum (DAM - Deutsches Architekturmuseum) in Frankfurt. The DAM-prize exhibition 2008 presents "the 24 best buildings in/from Germany". The DAM-yearbook published by Prestel-Verlag will be available starting December 15th 2008.
